While we’ve known Carmen for almost seven years, it was the bridal dress shop and suit store who both recommended The Fitting Room on Edward for their wedding alterations!
As with most ready-to-wear gowns, the fit wasn’t exactly ideal, so our bridal expert Sheena worked her magic to perfectly adjust the dress. We also altered the grooms and his groomsmen’s suits.

The Meeting
They have been together for 11 years and were engaged after eight. They met about 15 years ago at a mutual friend’s BBQ. While there was a spark, both were in relationships at the time. Fast forward five years and they reconnected, and now they are married!
The Venue
This venue was actually the first wedding Will took Carmen to his plus 1, marking a major step in their relationship! Carmen still remembers thinking how beautiful Sirromet was 10 years ago and thought to herself how awesome it would be to get married there!
The Dress
Carmen’s dress is by Anna Campbell, purchased from Babushka Ballerina. She first saw it online but did not want to try it on first because of how expensive it was. After trying on what seemed like hundreds of other dresses – none of them felt right. Carmen took to leap to try the Anna Campbell dress on.
“I’ve always been sceptical of the ‘bridal moment’ when you find ‘the dress’. But sure enough, it happened to me. The moment came when I stepped into the natural light and saw my dress and I had goosebumps and all my friends started to cry.”
The Suit
Will was suited by MJ Bale. Comfort was very important to him, hence the choice of suit for the wedding. Before this, he seriously considered wearing Lululemon to get married instead. Both Babushka Ballerina and MJ Bale recommended The Fitting Room on Edward for the couple’s alterations.
The Memories
For Carmen, the best moments were walking down the aisle with my grandfather, meeting Will at the altar, their first dance together, and her dance with her grandfather.
The Planning
Planning for every “what ifs” is impossible. As the day goes by so fast, the couple suggests just trying to enjoy the day/night with your friends and family. They also encouraging practising smiling and posing in front of the camera.
